Support Engineer / Technical Support Analyst – Unix/Oracle Applications

As a leading provider of risk management software solutions, our client has a customer base of around 40 of the world’s most prominent organisations. They are also ranked in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table. An opportunity has arisen for a Support Engineer / Technical Support Analyst to join their team.
This role would suit a talented and ambitious individual with experience of supporting a UNIX or Oracle based application, looking to develop their career with a company offering a competitive salary.
As a Support Engineer / Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting both the internal and external customers, covering a 24x7 basis. You will also be required to participate in customer application maintenance and implementation duties.
You will be tasked with:
- Managing customer support requests
- Providing technical support to resolve enquiries and requests
- Providing maintenance, monitoring performance and providing upgrade assistance
- Ensuring availability of the hosted environment
To be considered for the role of Support Engineer / Technical Support Analyst, you must have:
- Experience in an SLA controlled technical role
- Experience of supporting a UNIX or Oracle based application
- Proficiency of using SQL and PL/SQL
- A good knowledge of Oracle
For the successful applicant, occasional international travel to support customer upgrades and projects may be required.
